All the One X has done so far is ask me region and language. Then fails to update. Have not been able to sign into an account yet. So it shouldn't have anything to do with connecting to an Xbox live account. Ive tried factory reset as well and still have the same problem persist. Thank you for all your help. Just got a brand new Xbox One S and it will not update. I have tired wireless and wired connections and i still recieve an error code of 0xf8f 0x 0x Please if you have gotten past the updating stage or whatever issue gets solved please let me know.
