In fact, that is not really a problem as I tried enabling virtualisation on a Windows 10 Home machine and it worked just that I couldn't actually use the virtualisation - but the feature was there, waiting for me to upgrade to Windows 10 Pro. About an in-place upgrade, I've done that quite a few times. I've also reinstalled Windows after removing all personal data and apps but that too does not work.
I've determined this not to be on the system partition but a part of the EFI boot partition. Therefore, I have reset all its settings but to no avail. I even re-flashed my BIOS. Upon further research, I found out that cipolicies are meant to check a driver's integrity. So I updated all my drivers, but to no avail.
